Ogata Kenzan (1663~1743)

Tea bowl with a Pine Tree design in iron paint

A design of pine tree is vividly drawn in iron paint on a white slipped body
on which is also found a calligraphic text inscribed by Kenzan, The bottom
interior is coated with a vivid Raku green glaze.
